Mobilitas dan Kekerabatan Pada Masyarakat Negeri Hitu Lama Kecamatan Leihitu Kabupaten Maluku Tengah

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan gambaran mengenai proses mobilitas penduduk dalam membentuk hubungan kekerabatan di Negeri Hitu Lama. Penelitian ini juga menjelaskan metodologi atau pendekatan yang digunakan, temuan atau hasil utama, serta kesimpulan atau implikasi yang diperoleh. Negeri Hitu Lama merupakan negeri adat yang memiliki sejarah panjang dalam proses mobilitas penduduk di wilayah kepulauan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. FGD (Fokus Group Discation) juga dilakukan untuk memastikan ketepatan informasi di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola pemukiman antara masyarakat pendatang dan masyarakat asli cenderung terpisah. Sebagian besar pendatang tinggal di wilayah pinggiran Negeri Hitu Lama, sedangkan penduduk asli menetap di pusat negeri. Hubungan kekerabatan yang terbentuk pada umumnya terjadi melalui proses perkawinan, perdagangan, syiar agama dan proses interaksi dan sosialisasi antara pendatang dan penduduk asli. Hal ini disebabkan oleh proses mobilitas yang telah berlangsung cukup lama di Negeri Hitu Lama, bahkan terjadi secara turun-temurun hingga akhirnya menetap. Kondisi tersebut menjadikan para pendatang yang tinggal di wilayah Hitu Lama sebagai bagian dari masyarakat Hitu
